We have three swimming pools in the park; the biggest being the lagoon pool with a waterfall and toddlers pool located by our Camp Kitchen.
Fishing is one of the main activities in the Cooktown region with a number of secret fishing spots where you can catch the BIG one! Close proximity to the Great Barrier Reef provides exceptional lure and reef fishing experiences.
Keating’s Lagoon is a popular destination for birdwatchers and is set up as a conservation park with a bird hide to view the prolific birdlife. |

Our unisex amenity block has individual bathrooms containing shower, toilet, vanity and seat with hooks overhead for clothes. There is also a laundry and disabled bathroom facility in the amenity building.
We have a much-loved Camp Kitchen with 3 gas barbeques, gas cook top, fridges, microwave and TV Room. This is a wonderful area for groups and socialising as it has undercover seating for 50 people right beside the lagoon pool.
Reception offers a tourist information and booking service, 2 Internet Kiosks and Net4 Wireless Internet throughout the Park.
There is also a car and boat wash bay with a high pressure hose for hire to clean your vehicle, caravan or boat. Situated close by is the fish cleaning bay to fillet your bounty after a successful day on the river or reef! |
